Well I am looking at performance the situation with the human actor and the various methods of progressive disembodiment that may threaten the profession including robotics. I am also interested to see if I can become inspired again in contemporary theatre again. I really like Second Front..

Occupation:
Senior lecturer and Program Leader at Manchester Metropolitan Univesity, Manchester England. My program is entitled, Contemporary Theatre and Performance it is housed in a Contemporary Arts Department.
About Me:
I have lived long and had many different lives. My Father was in the Air Force therefore no where is 'home'. I see this as an advantage in regards to the global village and a source of constant melancholia. I am 56 and in adulthood I have lived in or on Fargo North Dakota, Bainbridge Island off the coast of Seattle, Tuscon Arizona, New York City, Glasgow Scotland and for the last 15 years in Cheshire England. I lived in New York City from 1978-1991. I worked and was engaged in the creation of experimental performance with - Richard Schechner (a founder of TDR and Performance Studies). The Wooster Group, associate and key performer for nine years . At 39 I was performing solos and working with the company intermittantly. I was driven by a late blooming and viral baby urge. I met my present husband through the U.K. performance scene. We married and conceived identical twins. The boys are now fourteen. Hence the long time -steady job in academia. I have come in and out of virtual performance and worked on ATHE MOO etc . ..in the ye ole MOO days. I worked with a group called Desktop Theatre on the Palace www.desktoptheatre.org, and I have taught classes there. At Uni I created an affliliation with Desktop theatre.org. I write and perform. I have introduced two years to Second Life in Uni. I want to hook-up with performance and radical arts practices. I have published, been produced, received grant money, there is a chapter about my work in Radical Performance and Multi-Media . ...lots of reviews . . . and I have academically published.
